Dr. Amy Kotecha is a Board-certified Ophthalmologist. She graduated as high school class valedictorian and completed a competitive and prestigious accelerated six year medical program at Drexel School of Medicine. She went on to complete her residency at The Mout Sinai Hospital in New York City. She has authored various professional articles and research. Dr. Kotecha is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Kotecha specializes in many ophthalmic procedures including "no blade" all-laser, intralase Lasik and PRK. She has a great passion for Lasik and has performed over 1000 laser procedures with excellent results. She also performs anti-aging treatments such as cosmetic eyelid procedures as well as Botox and fillers including Juvaderm with great skill. Her other areas of expetise include treating dry eye syndrome, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, pterygia, cataracts.
Dr Kotecha is fluent in versed in Spanish, Gujarati, and Hindi. She has performed volunteer eye surgery missions to foriegn countries such as India where she has taken care of hundreds of underserved people. She also provides volunteer services to local community organizations. She takes pride in being able to serve the community and the people of the nations capital and surrounding areas.
