Skin Lesions
There are many types of skin lesions that are found around the eyelids and face. Dr Kotecha can examine the lesion and help determine if it is benign or malignant (cancerous).
Dr Kotecha can remove these lesions safely and reconstruct the are if necessary. Some common eyelid lesions include chalazia or styes, skin tages, verrucae or warts, cysts, nevi or moles, basal cell carcinomas, squamous cell carcinomas, and more.
BOTOX
Botox is often given by simple office treatments to reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles. It can work magic on treating crows feet (lines by the eyes), forehead furrows, and furrows between the brows. Dr Kotecha also often uses it to create a temporary lift to the eyelids and brows. Treatments typically take about 15 minutes, patients can return to their normal activities the same day, and results are seen within a few days.
Ophthalmologists were the first doctors to start using Botox for eyelid spasms and crossed eyes. Dr Kotecha is a surgical specialist who is higly trained in the delicate skin and anatomy around the eyes.
Facial Fillers: Juvaderm, Radiesse, Kybella
Dermal fillers help to diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness to the face. They can be used to soften facial creases and wrinkles. Eamples include the nasolabial folds (smile lines) and marionette lines of the face. They can also be used to provide a temporary brow lift or to restore volume and fullness to the cheeks or lips.
We are also proud to offer Kybella. Kybella is not a dermal filler. It is an Allergan product used to reduce the fullness of submental fat pads, or fat pads that are below the chin or give the double chin look. Kybella is deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring chemical that devolves unwanted fat cells.
Latisse
Latisse is the only prescription eye treatment approved for growning fuller, longer, and thicker eyelashes.
As it is prescription only, we recommend that you see Dr Kotecha to discuss its use and if it is right for you.
